I Hope They Call Me on a Mission!
Last Saturday our primary did a missionary activity where all the kids got to go on 'missions.' They all got their own calls and badges and went into the MTC(the primary room). One of our primary teachers used to teach in the MTC in Provo. She gave the kids a little mini class. Then they all got to go on an 'airplane' to get to their missions. We had flight attendants serve snacks and drinks. Once they 'landed', their mission presidents picked them up and took them to their separate missions. We had return missionaries from our ward act as presidents and talk to the kids about their missions and what it's like to be a missionary. The kids loved it! Nate was off work and able to help as one of our mission presidents.
Burrito Baby
Friends and Family always tease us about how tightly we swaddle our babies. Now that we're on number three, I can conclusively say that swaddling them up like a burrito so they can't get those arms out always helps them sleep longer and better! So, here's a picture of our latest 'burrito baby' Jayne. And yes, her hair always sticks up like that. There's nothing we can do.

Colds...What is The Point?!
Well, my kids and I have caught the annual cold. I hate colds! They just make you miserable and nothing ever seems to help! It also doesn't help that, being a mommy, there is absolutely no time for extra rest. Being sick doesn't slow my kids down at all, or pause the laundry, or cook dinner for me, or clean my house for the company that's coming over tomorrow. Ugh...I need a nap!

Jonah's Birthday
Today is Jonah's 5th birthday! That's a whole hand! He had a great time at preschool today. He got to take treats and his teachers gave him a goodie bag, party hat, and let him pick out a stuffed animal. He chose a little green frog.
Aunt Rachel is going to come take him and Lilly to McDonald's and he'll get to open a couple presents tonight after dinner. We're having the big family hoopla on Saturday afternoon.

When I told Jonah that the party isn't until Saturday he just said, "Mom, why does my birthday take so many days?" So I explained that we couldn't have the party today because everyone is at work. He was okay with that, but still wishes his party were today. I'm with him on that one. I think it's always great to be able to celebrate your birthday ON your birthday.
