I Hope They Call Me on a Mission!

Last Saturday our primary did a missionary activity where all the kids got to go on 'missions.' They all got their own calls and badges and went into the MTC(the primary room). One of our primary teachers used to teach in the MTC in Provo. She gave the kids a little mini class. Then they all got to go on an 'airplane' to get to their missions. We had flight attendants serve snacks and drinks. Once they 'landed', their mission presidents picked them up and took them to their separate missions. We had return missionaries from our ward act as presidents and talk to the kids about their missions and what it's like to be a missionary. The kids loved it! Nate was off work and able to help as one of our mission presidents.

Lilly is still in nursery, but she participated anyway because we all had to be there. She did so well sitting reverently and listening and singing the songs. Her favorite part was the fruit snacks that she got on the plane. She hung out with Daddy in the Mexico, Monterrey North Mission.

Jonah was called to the Phillipines, Baguo mission. He had a great time and has been singing 'I Hope They Call Me on a Mission' ever since!

Wow, sounds like a great activity! I take it that you have a calling in primary. Tamina has been the primary chorister for about 2 1/2 years. I just got a new calling a little bit ago to be the young mens secretary and assistant scout master. It does look like our kids are about the same ages. Adam is 4, Ari is 2 1/2, and Sarah is 2 months.

Yep. I'm the 1st counselor in the primary presidency. I've had the calling for a year now. It's been challenging, but very rewarding. Tamina must be a great chorister to be in there that long! We've been through three in our primary just in the last year and a half.
When is Ari's birthday? Jonah just turned 5, Lilly turns 3 in May, and Jayne was born Oct. 19th.

She really is. The primary presidency really struggled while she was taking time off with the baby. :P So Adam's b-day is in September, Ari will be 3 on May 25 and Sarah was born Nov 21.
